Gas Pizza Ovens
Our gas-fired pizza ovens offer the same premium features as our wood-fired ovens but with the added convenience of cooking with gas. They’re ideal for backyard cooking enthusiasts who want a modern take on the Italian tradition of outdoor cooking.
Our gas-fired home pizza ovens can be fueled using propane or natural gas (with a conversion kit). And because they’re fueled with gas, these residential pizza ovens don’t produce ash like their wood-fired counterparts. Our outdoor gas ovens also provide a slightly larger cooking surface area than our wood-fired pizza ovens, since the gas burner takes up less space than a traditional wood fire.
Fontana Forni takes your family’s safety seriously. Our gas ovens are Intertek ETL certified in the United States and Canada, which means they meet rigorous safety standards.
Our gas pizza ovens are available in both standalone and countertop models in two sizes: The Margherita Gas Pizza Oven (small) and The Mangiafuoco Gas Pizza Oven (medium).
And because these ovens bear the Fontana name, you can expect the industry leading quality and features you've come to expect from Fontana Forni:

Fontana’s Legacy: Master Craftsmanship
More than 40 years ago Fontana designed one of the world’s most efficient pizza ovens for home use. Since then, our expert craftsmen have developed a line of the best outdoor gas pizza ovens available anywhere. Here’s what sets our portable pizza ovens apart.
-
Heavy-duty construction: All Fontana wood-fired ovens have a bent-steel dome construction for maximum stability and durability. Our stainless steel and powder-coated painted surfaces are specially treated for long-lasting corrosion resistance.
-
Innovative design: Our cooking chamber is specially designed to eliminate hot spots and ensure uniform heat distribution. Our proprietary exhaust design allows smoke to exit, even when oven door is closed.
-
Handcrafted tradition: Each Fontana wood-burning oven is designed and made in Italy by skilled craftsmen.
-
Precise temperature control: Our outdoor pizza ovens can reach 900°F / 482.2°C, the highest on the market, thanks to our stainless-steel chimney damper, designed for maximum heat retention.
-
Maximum insulation: Each Fontana oven features thick insulation around the cooking chamber for maximum heat retention. Our oven exteriors are safe to the touch, and all our ovens are ETL & CSA certified, which means they comply with rigorous North American safety standards.
-
Versatility: Our ovens not only create perfect pizza every time, they’re also ideal for cooking meats, vegetables, breads, and desserts. We offer countertop or standalone gas-fired ovens in different sizes and capacities.
The Advantages of Gas-Fired Ovens
Both gas and wood have their advantages. If hauling and storing wood isn’t practical or feasible, our gas-fired pizza ovens may be your best choice. Our gas pizza ovens work with natural gas or propane (great for those in rural areas).
Another advantage of gas is that it doesn’t create the soot and ash of wood-burning ovens. This means less mess and cleanup. It’s also easier to adjust temperature with a gas oven, which can help you avoid burning or overcooking food.
